The Level 3 Home Survey or 'Building Survey' allows the surveyor sufficient time to dig down into the building, its construction and development history. Our surveyors often spend up to 30 hours travelling, researching, inspecting, writing and editing these detailed documents. Whilst the Level 3 Home Survey is not the cheapest option it is a valuable step in ensuring that you are best placed to make a well informed purchase decision and negotiate any reductions accordingly.
At this level your surveyor will inspect drains, lift floorboards where possible and collect as much information and data as reasonably possible. You will also be advised of the remedial options and implications where defects/issues are found. The Level 3 Survey is ideal for homes over 100 years old or those properties that have been remodelled, extended or refurbished.
Fees: Typically from £560 - £1250 plus VAT dependant on property size and condition.
Our RPSA Level 2 Home Survey is easiest viewed as an economical Level 3. This is a full building survey with slightly less repair and potential defect guidance. Our RPSA L2 reports are packed with annotated photographs, surveyors advice and observations just like a full building survey.
