Weald and City Surveyors Ltd. make choosing your RICS Building Surveyor easy. Our surveyors will never inspect more than one property a day, we write your home survey report in the office rather than on site, we do not use AI to generate reports, and we take the time to peer review each other's work. This means that we will not provide a report in 24 hours, and we are proud of that.

2. The Big Difference

Our RICS building surveyors provide competitively priced RICS and RPSA Surveys. We specialise in Level 3 Building surveys, as these identify potential issues and outline what is likely to be involved in undertaking repairs. RPSA Homebuyer Surveys are also available on request.


Our unique report platform enables us to create Level 3 Home Survey reports at a minimal additional cost to our clients, and they offer fantastic value compared to the average Level 2 Home Survey. 


Our Fees generally range from 0.1% (Homebuyer Report) to 0.2% (RICS Building Survey) of a property's advertised asking price.  Please note that it is rare for our fee not to be recoverable through negotiation, given the defects we often uncover.   


Where weather conditions and flight restrictions permit, our surveys will include high-level inspections using a drone or a camera mounted on a specialist pole. 


Where the surveyor believes it beneficial, they may also use thermal imaging technology to assist their inspection.

Building Survey Fee Flexibility

Our approach is unique, allowing you to choose the extent of your Home Survey based on what you would like included. 


This means that you can exclude certain items from your RICS survey that you are not concerned about, such as sheds, specific outbuildings, or attached land parcels, to help manage costs. 


Alternatively, drop our building surveyors a line with a link to the property brochure and your requirements, and we will get back to you as quickly as possible.   


Please note that all fees and bookings are subject to our review and approval, and that additional fees may be applied to heritage, listed or non-standard houses.
